Last weekend I attended a party for a company (small) that is in the process of launching their personal shopping pitch. Basically, you pay them money, they get to know you, they shop for you while you do your thing and send you 20 or so outfits a year, you return what you don't like and keep what you do.
Not for me, but it involved free food, drinks, and a ticket to the movie Sex in the City. That's definitely for me.
While we were out on the patio avoiding the sales people like the plague, we discussed my good friend's upcoming birthday.
"Let's go to Macy's and take advantage of their free personal shopper!" says the birthday girl.
Me... ugh. More pressure to spend money.
